Service Technician- Bend, OR Area Resident

Job Overview

Position:
Service Technician – Bend, Oregon Territory (must reside in the same area).

• Servicing the Bend, Oregon Territory.
• Repairs and replaces virtually any component on lift trucks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose lift truck to determine fault or extent of malfunction.
• Access mechanical components beneath lift trucks by crawling under equipment.
• Remove faulty components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, lift truck jacks, and hoists.
• Disassemble unit and inspect parts for wear.
• Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty components or assemblies.
• Repair and service electrical systems.
• Inspect, adjust, repair, and rebuild brake systems.
• Read display for fault codes.
• Download software updates.
• Replace and adjust lights, and install and repair accessories as required.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as lubrication and tune‑ups.
• Test drive forklifts and test components and systems.
• Perform pre‑delivery inspections and assemble new forklifts as required.

• Ability to organize workload to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with customers and management.
• At least 24 months experience in a related industry is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must supply own tools.
• Experience with MS Office products is a plus.
• Positive interaction with customers.
• Dedicated to customer satisfaction.
• Forklift certification.
• Valid driver license.
• Must pass background check and DOT/Drug tests.

Starting pay: $28.00/hour DOE for 12 months of employment.

Signing bonus: $1,500 once 12 months of employment completed.

Experienced material handling technicians with 3 or more years’ experience eligible for a one‑time $3,000 bonus paid after 12 months of continuous employment.
