Role Description

This full-time, on-site Licensed Low Voltage Electrician role is based in Bend, OR. The person in this position installs, tests, and maintains low voltage electrical systems that support audiovisual, IT, and communication technologies in commercial and institutional environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include pulling and terminating cable, installing conduit and raceways, mounting and wiring devices and equipment, and ensuring all work meets applicable codes and safety standards.

The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to complete projects on schedule. The Licensed Low Voltage Electrician also documents work performed, maintains tools and materials, and communicates clearly with clients and internal stakeholders to support high-quality installations.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in electricity and electrical work, with demonstrated experience in low voltage systems.
  • Proficiency in maintenance & repair of low voltage infrastructure, including routine service and system updates.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and low voltage issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles as they apply to low voltage AV, IT, and communications installations.
  • Valid state license or certification for low voltage electrical work, in accordance with Oregon requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for low voltage installations.
  • Comfort working on ladders, lifts, and in varied on-site environments, with adherence to safety practices.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams and clients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training, apprenticeship completion, or related vocational program is preferred.
  • Previous experience in commercial AV, IT cabling, or low voltage integration is beneficial.
