Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead, organizes and guides a dedicated crew while delivering high quality landscape maintenance for high end residential and preferred commercial properties. This position must lead by example, plan efficiently, and help their team succeed - every day, on every site.
- Lead, motivate, and support your crew in taking ownership of assigned routes and projects, and job sites
- Perform a nine-point inspection of your assigned company vehicle using the Whip Around application
- Operate and transport one ton company vehicles and trailers to and from job sites with the ability to maneuver and back up in tight spaces safely
- Identify, document, and communicate vehicle and equipment repair needs using the Whip Around application or tool tag-out system
- Develop site-specific plans to efficiently complete seasonal landscape maintenance work
- Train and coach crew members on proper techniques, safety procedures, and job expectations
- Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors when landscape or irrigation issues arise
- Communicate effectively with supervisors when crew-related issues arise
- Maintain reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance - you set the standard for your crew
- Follow all OSHA regulations that pertain to your job.
- Follow safe work practices and comply with company safety policies.
- Report any work hazards to your Project Lead, Operations Manager or Department manager immediately.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for assigned activities.
- Participate in all safety protocols and procedures training that are relevant to your position.
- Report and document all work related job injuries and accidents on Rexius provided form.
- Attend and participate in annual safety training.

- Working knowledge of horticultural principles including planting, pruning, and plant and noxious weed identification
- Proficiency in using and coaching proper operation of power equipment including push mowers, ride on mowers, edgers, blowers, string trimmers, pole shears, and chainsaws
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather, including snow
- Ability to work 10–12 hour days during peak seasons
- Knowledge of OR-OSHA regulations and current safety standards
- Ability to communicate in English to ensure customer needs are understood and safety requirements are clearly followed
- Ability to build trust with owners, managers, team members, and customers
- Ability to work cooperatively with management, crew members, and customers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks independently

- 2 years minimum of field experience.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- May be required to lift, up to 50 lbs. consistently
- Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects.
- Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc. (not a sedentary position).
- Vision: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing: able to satisfactorily communicate with customers, owners, and other staff members to ensure that verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergency situations.
- Finger dexterity is needed for pruning and power tool proficiency
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to changing weather and temperature
- Exposure to fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
