What You’ll Do
- Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance across multiple commercial buildings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve building maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
- Complete work orders electronically using a smartphone; ensure timely and accurate updates.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, vendors, and other team members.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure impacted tenants are notified.
- Assist with vendor management, including material ordering and onsite oversight.
- Participate in regular check-ins with property managers to review progress and workload.
- Create and maintain a monthly maintenance calendar; inspect properties quarterly.
- Follow safety procedures and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Carry and maintain appropriate tools and equipment for daily tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance and the past experience using the tools of these trades.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
- Comfortable using modern technology, including mobile apps and cloud-based work order systems.
- Team-oriented, organized, and capable of working in diverse building environments.
- 3–5 years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Oregon driver's license and commercially insurable driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment.
- Proof of auto liability insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening including THC.
- Availability for occasional overtime and on‑call emergency response.
- Climbing, bending, stooping
- Pushing/pulling
- Lifting/carrying at least 50 lbs
- Overhead and ladder work
- Working at various building heights and conditions
- Working outside year round in all of Central Oregon’s glorious weather conditions.
