Overview

Pay: $26.62-$28.87
Responsibilities- Always provides required paperwork and scanning for dispatch
- Seeks to learn products and their application for the end users
- Learns and follows established best practices
- Learns from mistakes and accepts coaching as opportunities
- Demonstrates legal and thorough knowledge of tie down rules and regs
- Understands weight, height, and length limits
- Ensures that all material transported on the truck has either an invoice or Material Returns Form
- Continues to participate in training as available
- Learning best practices related to efficient loading, strapping, and driving
- Checks load for accuracy
- Annually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
- Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
- Complete mileage and fuel usage reports
- Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each delivery
- Learn and use route planning and optimization
- Demonstrates commitment to on-time and in-full deliveries
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Safely operate a truck‑mounted forklift to load, unload, and place materials at customer locations and job sites
- Conduct daily inspections of the forklift, mounting system, hydraulics, forks, chains, and safety devices
- Properly mount and dismount the forklift from the truck according to manufacturer and company procedures
- Lift, transport, and place materials (including lumber, building materials, or palletized freight) with precision and care to prevent product damage
- Assess job-site conditions (ground stability, slope, clearance, overhead hazards) before forklift operation
- Maintain safe exclusion zones during unloading and ensure customer and bystander safety
- Follow all forklift safety protocols, including load limits, stability guidelines, and proper fork positioning
- Must be 21 years old or over
- Class A CDL required (air-brake endorsement required)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
- Open and transparent communication
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
- Driving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferred
- Ability to pass DOT pre-placement physical
- Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time
- Ability to stoop, bend and walk
- 2 weeks of vacation per year on day 1, with increasing time off up to 4 weeks
