Overview

American Civil Constructors West Coast (ACCW) delivers critical roadway and infrastructure projects for DOT and public works clients nationwide. We are hiring for a full-time Estimating Coordinator to work on site in our Benicia, CA office.

The Estimating Coordinator who will be responsible for administering the bid pipeline, tracking deadlines, managing incoming RFPs and ensuring all submission criteria are strictly met.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and log regular Nationwide Bid Searches and present potential projects for bid; download new Project Plans & Specs
  • Able to demonstrate some technical understanding of construction bidding
  • Review plans and specifications for required bid data
  • Maintain company bid list and ensure all pre-bid tasks are completed
  • Request bid bonds and ensure they’re received timely and correctly
  • Draft paper bid documents and prepare for submittal
  • Run Post-Bid Estimating Reports in our Estimating software
  • Maintain detailed historical bidding data
  • Locate and track potential upcoming projects
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of relevant industry work experience and 1+ years in an office environment, preferred
  • Valid driver’s license 2+ years
  • You must be authorized to work in the U.S. both now and in the future without company sponsorship. We are a drug free work environment based on Federal guidelines and use E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Good organizational and time management skills, analyze data and information to make strong decisions
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Advanced website search skills
  • Proficiency with Google Earth
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Great communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task and coordinate/complete your projects successfully are all essential to this job
  • Experience with Bidding Software such as HCSS Heavy Bid is highly desired but not required
