Position Overview
TEAM, Inc. seeks an entry level person to assist in Leak Detection & Repair Services (LDAR). The selected candidate will be trained to conduct air monitoring and emissions measurement activities, perform equipment calibrations and maintenance, and collect and organize field data for air quality compliance and emissions assessment programs. Individual must be safety‑focused, eager to learn, and possess a strong work ethic to advance along the service line career path.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Comply with all safety procedures and maintain accurate job documentation.
- Perform EPA Method 21 hydrocarbon leak detection using a portable gas analyzer and electronic data collector.
- Conduct analyzer certification, calibration, and routine preventative maintenance to assure optimal operation of testing equipment.
- Ensure that all activities for an assigned monitoring route are completed within the scheduled time frame and that each component is fully monitored and accurately reported.
- Identify leaks as defined by applicable regulations and attach leaking component tags to identify leak sources.
- Perform visual assessments for evidence of leaking hydrocarbons and report equipment with open‑ended lines.
- Maintain the identification system of LDAR components and record changes in the component inventory.
- Provide daily reports and communicate with site‑specific personnel and branch management regarding equipment changes.
- Communicate with plant personnel as directed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Attend required training to maintain competence and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Identify circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Personal mobility to maneuver in a standard refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells (except during non‑field duties).
- Clear speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, allowing effective communication.
- Adequate vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform investigations.
- Manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation for routine office duties.
- Readiness to perform office duties and travel off‑site when required.
- Ability to maintain focus, multitask and communicate effectively.
- Position based at a TEAM field office or client site location.
- Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
- Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Operation in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment as specified by the safety department.
- Potential to work at multiple job sites in a single day and tolerance of climate changes.
- Periodic travel out of town may be required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical school, industry or relevant training preferred but not essential.
- Industry experience preferred but not essential.
- Driving license, TWIC card preferred.
Annual salary range: $49,920.00 – $54,080.00 (California locations may vary). Benefits include 401(k) match, paid vacation and holidays, overtime with full travel and per‑diem, and additional safety‑first culture. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
