Position OverviewAs a Systems Engineer, you’ll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem‑solving is essential as you collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and write system specifications. You’ll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems.
Additionally, you’ll identify and mitigate risks, confirming that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

- Lead and support system‑level design and integration of X‑ray micro‑CT systems
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize X‑ray imaging performance (resolution, contrast, SNR, artifacts)
- Own system requirements, trade studies, and performance budgets
- Design and execute system calibration, characterization, and validation experiments
- Analyze imaging data and automate workflows using Python
- Collaborate across disciplines to resolve system‑level issues spanning hardware and software
- Document system architecture, test results, and technical decisions clearly and rigorously
- Support transfer of systems and methods from R&D into production or customer‑facing environments
- Complete definition and design of complex components, modules, and subsystems and contribute to the system engineering specification both within the field of expertise and broadening into other disciplines. Ensure designs meet market requirement specifications (MRS).
- Coordinate with project marketing and management to understand subsystem requirements
- Lead architecture brainstorming meetings and drive the systems process to down select to a final architecture of a subsystem
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis of subsystems using vast knowledge of design concepts and functional requirements in the field of technical expertise and broadening into other disciplines
- Assist in creating concepts for architectural design approaches. Evaluate architectures to provide recommendation for best system solution approach
- Build and qualify prototypes of new designs, or procure entire subsystems from outsourced suppliers and test for compliance with detailed specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot a variety of difficult engineering problems in field of technical expertise, including serviceability and manufacturability
- Support System Integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs
- Perform and coordinate tests against internal and industry‑accepted reliability specifications. Make suitable design or operational changes as required
- Support system engineering projects that have a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software design, and understand the underlying system implications
- Provide remote and onsite support to field support personnel as required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4–7 years of experience
