• Assist with system prototype development and build, provide feedback to other teams in a timely manner, and effectively communicate solutions to relevant engineers.
• Design and perform iterative testing in a systematic manner to ensure systems meet specifications.
• Develop workflows for system calibration and data acquisition.
• Look for ways to improve system commissioning process for consistency and scalability.
• Adapt and provide feedback quickly to changes in a prototype system with demanding deadlines.
• Be detail-oriented and diligent in documenting changes and notes as the product is developed.
• Install finished product at customer sites and conduct site acceptance testing with customers present.
• Assist with customer demos and applications.

• Able to work independently to formulate and test hypotheses.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a team environment.
• Excellent data analysis skills: ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets quickly.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands.
• Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines.

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Materials Science).
• Work experience, Master’s, or Ph.D. is a plus.
• Be able to travel domestically and internationally to assist with in‑field installations (maximum expected travel is 10%).

• Familiarity or experience with X‑ray systems, specifically XRF, is a strong plus.
• Experience in Python scripting is a strong plus.
• Experience with hardware control (motion control systems and automation/robotics) is a plus.
• Familiarity or experience with optics and microscopes is a plus.
• Understanding of semiconductor industry trends is a plus.
