Systems Engineer Responsibilities- Assist with system prototype development and build, provide feedback to other teams in a timely manner, and effectively communicate solutions to relevant engineers.
- Design and perform iterative testing in a systematic manner to ensure systems meet specifications.
- Develop workflows for system calibration and data acquisition.
- Look for ways to improve system commissioning process for consistency and scalability.
- Adapt and provide feedback quickly to changes in a prototype system with demanding deadlines.
- Be detail-oriented and diligent in documenting changes and notes as the product is developed.
- Install finished product at customer sites and conduct site acceptance testing with customers present.
- Assist with customer demos and applications.
- Able to work independently to formulate and test hypotheses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a team environment.
- Excellent data analysis skills: ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets quickly.
- Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands.
- Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Materials Science).
- Work experience, Master’s, or Ph.D. is a plus.
- Be able to travel domestically and internationally to assist with in‑field installations (maximum expected travel is 10%).
- Familiarity or experience with X‑ray systems, specifically XRF, is a strong plus.
- Experience in Python scripting is a strong plus.
- Experience with hardware control (motion control systems and automation/robotics) is a plus.
- Familiarity or experience with optics and microscopes is a plus.
- Understanding of semiconductor industry trends is a plus.
