The new Mission Care at Bennington is looking for an Business Office Assistant for administrative and reception duties.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists with daily resident trust banking.
  • Assists residents and families with questions pertaining to resident funds.
  • Assists with sorting of business office mail.
  • Answers calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist residents & families with questions pertaining to resident funds.
  • Bills all third party carriers for payment and monitors/ follows up on all payments.
  • Reconciles accounts and prepares adjustments.
  • Processes ancillary census and processes ancillary bills according to Medicare PPS guidelines.
  • Monitors and follows up with problems on new and pending Medicaid or Medicare applications and keeps Business Office Manager updated regarding status.

    Responds to basic inquiries in-person and over the phone.
  • Takes messages politely and accurately and delivers them promptly to the appropriate party.
  • Welcomes and assists visitors at the reception area.
  • Communicates effectively with company Managers and staff.
  • Opens/sorts mail and distributes it to the proper parties.
  • Compiles and completes Word and Excel documents as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Company information
  • Performs various office duties including copying, faxing, filing, and scanning.
  • Assists with compiling reports, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of various software programs, required.
  • Experience in a longterm care setting, preferred.
  • Experience managing petty cash and resident funds, preferred.
  • Must be highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer service setting as well as communicating with people from various backgrounds.
