Are you motivated by meaningful work and passionate about helping youth and families build brighter futures? Vermont Permanency Initiative (VPI) in Bennington is hiring a Permanency Coordinator arole perfect for someone who thrives on connection, compassion, and community impact.
At VPI, you’ll be part of a mission‑driven team that works every day to ensure youth feel supported, empowered, and connected to family and permanency.
What You’ll Do:As a Permanency Coordinator, you play a vital role in guiding youth and families through the permanency process by:
- Serving as a key liaison between youth, parents, state agencies, permanency teams, and community partners
- Supporting each youth’s progress according to their individualized Treatment Plan
- Applying trauma‑informed, strength‑based, youth‑guided practices that align with the Building Bridges and Families First Initiatives
- Helping youth actively participate in ITP meetings and work toward Family & Community goals
- Traveling to family visits, community appointments, and life‑skills opportunities
- Participating in court hearings, monthly reviews, and case planning
- Completing timely documentation required by state and agency standards
- Supporting youth skill development that prepares them for permanency and successful transitions
- Collaborating with the permanency and clinical team for coverage and reporting
- Managing calendars for appointments, visits, meetings, and program needs
- Completing additional responsibilities assigned by the Permanency Specialist, Clinical Director, or Director of Operations

- Minimum 2 years of experience working with emotionally or behavioral intensive individuals.
- Bachelor’s in social work, psychology, education, or related field.
- Valid driver’s license & 21+ years of age.
- Satisfactory completion of background and applicable pre-employment checks.
