Special Education Teacher – Full-Time | Strong Support | Bennington, VT | 2026-27 SY

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, middle school-based position (grades 6–8) in Bennington, Vermont. This role is for the 2026–2027 school year.

This role supports young learners, helping students build foundational academic, social, and developmental skills in a supportive, team-based environment.

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized instruction to early childhood students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and developmental milestones
  • Use play‑based and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers (SLPs, OTs, PTs), and families
  • Monitor and document student progress using data‑driven practices
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for young learners
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education (minimum)
  • Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
  • Experience or interest in early childhood, preschool, or special education settings preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
