Position Overview Southwest Vermont Regional Technical School District is seeking a Para educator/Transportation Specialist to support our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This dual-role position combines classroom and lab support with student transportation responsibilities throughout the school day and school year.

• Para educator Duties:
  • Assist CTE teachers in classrooms and labs, including off-campus lab locations
  • Supervise students and support the enforcement of safety protocols
  • Reinforce curriculum and instructional activities under the direction of the teacher
  • Support positive student behavior and engagement
• Transportation Duties:
  • Transport students to and from off-campus labs, work-based learning placements, field trips, and state and national competitions
  • Occasionally transport students to and from their sending high schools
  • Ensure safe, timely, and professional transportation of students
• Additional Duties:
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by administration
  • May include overtime and occasional overnight trips

• High school diploma or GED required
• Post-secondary education/training or one to two years of related experience in CTE career pathways
• Valid CDL required or the ability to obtain a CDL with passenger endorsement within six months
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-supported background check and a DCF abuse and neglect check
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks
• Some outside work may be required, including exposure to varying weather conditions
