Automation Sales Engineer

Job Summary

Abacus Automation is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for quoting custom machines and equipment, including preparing detailed quote documents, developing budget sheets, and creating conceptual machine layout sketches.

• Onsite
• Some travel required
• Full‑time

• Engage with prospective clients to understand their automation needs and provide expert guidance on suitable solutions.
• Research and prepare custom equipment quotes.
• Develop and maintain accurate budget sheets.
• Create conceptual layout sketches for proposed solutions.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and project management teams.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites as needed.

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, ideally in custom automation or industrial equipment.
• Secondary education in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Solid Edge or Solid Works CAD software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
