This role is well-suited for
PMHNPs
, as well as
FNPs and AGNPs
with a strong interest or background in psychiatry who are seeking to deepen their expertise in psychopharmacology within a structured, supportive environment.

- Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $145,000 annually (commensurate with experience and licensure)
- Performance Bonuses: Up to $40,000 annually

As a PMHNP/FNP/AGNP with Balanced Wellbeing, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients in long-term care settings, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions through evidence-based medication management
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory tests as appropriate
- Participate in GDR and psychotropic medication review meetings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, facility staff, and families
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Meet daily productivity and encounter expectations
- Respond to facility needs as appropriate (no formal on-call)
- Active Vermont APRN license as a PMHNP
, FNP
, or AGNP (psychiatric focus) - National board certification (ANCC or equivalent)
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Psychiatric experience preferred;
new graduates encouraged to apply - Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Organized, reliable, and team-oriented
- Reliable transportation for limited travel between facilities
- Monday–Friday, daytime hours
- Work in skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted living facilities
- Minimal regional travel within the Bennington area
