Registered Nurse; RN- Oncology Associates

Overview

Under the direction of the physician or mid‑level provider, this position is responsible for providing individualized nursing‑process based care to SVMC Cancer Center patients. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapy in an Oncology setting.

• Provides patient care to Oncology patients as necessary, including but not limited to obtaining vital signs
• Completes assessments
• Triages patient needs
• Delivers nursing care
• Other duties include administering treatments, including but not limited to chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and injections

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required
• Successful completion of ONS Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy provider course and experience in oncology required; willing to accept someone with ICU experience and provide time to complete certification
• Ability to obtain Vermont State Registered Nursing license required
• Health Care Provider BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills to perform duties that are detail oriented and support the highest level of care and customer service
• Excellent communication skills required
