Overview

The Vermont Veterans' Home (VVH) is a skilled nursing facility seeking compassionate and motivated Registered Nurses to join our team in providing care to our veterans and members with the dignity and respect that they so rightfully deserve.

Registered Nurses (RN) develop and manage nursing care plans and instruct patients and their families in proper treatment for the highest level of function and quality of life. We provide person‑centered care and encourage all residents and families to be active participants. We provide clinical oversight along with a wide range of services for long‑term and short‑stay admissions.
We are recruiting for Evening & Night shifts. Shift differentials, as applicable, will apply to hours worked on weekends, evenings and nights.
Environmental Factors- Duties are primarily performed in a clinical setting.
- Work may require travel off‑site.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and blood borne pathogens.
- Potential encounter with a physically and verbally violent patient population and other stressful situations.
- May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and extended shifts as the need arises.
- Possession of (or eligibility for) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont or eligibility to practice in Vermont via a multi‑state license.
- College senior in the final semester of an accredited nursing program. Graduation must occur prior to hire and continued employment will be contingent on passing the NCLEX.
- Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
- Must maintain Vermont licensure as a Registered Nurse as a condition of employment.
