Mount Anthony Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist!

• Role: Veterinary Receptionist
• Status: Full-time
• Salary: $17 - $20 per hour (depending on experience)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, some Saturdays

We are adding a veterinarian in the new year, and we are looking to expand our support staff.

We are looking for a full‑time veterinary receptionist to add to our fantastic front desk team. Hours will vary but will be posted 2 weeks in advance of the new month.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Warmly greeting clients
• Admitting and discharging patients, including conveying postsurgical instructions
• Efficiently answering a multi‑line telephone system
• Scheduling appointments for routine care and surgical procedures
• Processing payments
• Preparing and explaining prescribed medications
• Answering a variety of client questions
• Processing mail
• Cleaning and disinfecting the work area

Requirements:

• Demonstrate compassion to pets and the owners who are attached to them
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in all aspects of office technology
• Ability to stay calm in tense or hectic situations
• Able to juggle multiple tasks throughout the day
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology
