Quality Assurance Technician II
REPORTS TO:
Quality Assurance Supervisor
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Quality Assurance Technician II performs visual and mechanical dimensional inspections on assigned parts to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, using precision inspection equipment, identifying non‑conforming materials, and completing first article inspections. The technician also contributes to internal audits and helps maintain compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and Nadcap standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection & Testing
Perform dimensional inspections using engineering drawings and blueprints.
Complete First Article Inspections (FAI), in‑process inspections, and final inspections for all parts and assemblies.
Identify, segregate, and report all non‑conforming materials and parts for corrective action.
Execute all inspection and testing tasks according to established procedures, work schedules, quality standards, and safety standards.
Quality Systems & Compliance
Support internal audits to maintain ISO 9001, AS9100, and Nadcap compliance.
Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
Participate in team meetings with leadership.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper storage of equipment.
Correct unsafe work situations and near‑misses immediately, seeking assistance when needed.
Report problems and concerns to the Quality Manager or appropriate personnel.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
General & Other Duties
Perform job duties safely with the goal of zero accidents or injuries.
Assist with other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and organizational needs.
Work overtime, alternate shifts, and weekends when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills
Must be proficient using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges etc.
Ability to program and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
Strong mathematical ability and competence in basic calculations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Strong computer skills for data entry, spreadsheets, reports, and word processing.
Ability to safely operate all relevant tools and equipment.

Organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
Ability to handle high‑volume workloads and sudden schedule changes professionally.

Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for up to 85% of the work shift.
Able to meet all physical demands associated with job duties.
Must successfully pass a pre‑employment physical, drug screening, and vision test for color perception.
Work Requirements
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts when needed.
