Online Order Filling associates have one focus: to fill and dispense online orders. They locate, prepare, and package merchandise, ensuring the accuracy of orders prior to pick up. They make appropriate product substitutions and consult with the customer as needed to ensure satisfaction.

Online order fillers and delivery associates shop for customers throughout the store, selecting appropriate products such as apples or cereals while maintaining a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. They handle the entire order‑filling process from picking items to packaging and dispensing orders. They also engage customers in conversation while dispensing orders and balance online‑order fulfillment with assisting in‑store shoppers during peak times.

The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during holiday seasons, often requiring the juggling of multiple customer interactions.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives and premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
