- Connect with prospective and current clients to learn what kind of coverage they need
- Recommend insurance solutions that match each client’s situation, budget, and goals
- Follow up on leads and inquiries in a timely, thoughtful way
- Prepare quotes, review policy details, and guide clients through the sales process
- Build trust by answering questions clearly and making insurance easier to understand
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policies, and sales activity
- Work with internal partners to make sure clients receive a smooth experience from first conversation to policy placement
- Stay current on products, carrier updates, and industry changes that affect your clients
- Active insurance license or ability to obtain one in Vermont
- Previous experience in insurance sales, customer service, or a related client-facing role
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
- Ability to explain coverage options clearly and confidently
- Comfort with CRM systems and standard office software
- Organized approach to tracking leads, follow-ups, and client details
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable building long‑term client relationships
- Knowledge of personal lines or commercial insurance products is a plus
