Your Impact

Are you a skilled and highly motivated Generator Technician who is looking to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, challenging job in the telecom industry? Our Generator Technicians service and repair commercial generators on cell‑phone towers in your region. This role is a great match for independent, self‑starters who are willing to travel.

Core Responsibilities
  • Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install and replace components or entire systems, and perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment.
  • Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness, and read and follow blueprints or other design specifications for installation or repair.
  • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, then test for proper operation.
  • Respond promptly or on call 24/7 to power/generator alarms and answer assigned phone and e‑mail.
  • Perform work with an awareness of all potential hazards connected with the installation and maintenance of power‑supply equipment, switching gear, and other equipment (including but not limited to falls, electric shock, falling objects, traffic); use safety equipment and participate in all designated safety and training meetings.
Core Experience
  • Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance; at least one year of intense work‑related experience with generator and electrical maintenance‑related software, hardware, and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair of generators, and knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
Physical / Work Environment
  • Requires lifting over 50 lbs, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly.
  • Must be willing and able to drive long distances, work day, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency call‑outs, weekends, and holidays as required; and assume 24‑hour on‑call duty when assigned.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. Base pay range: $30,000 – $40,000 per annum. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem, and other applicable compensation.
