Qualifications:
• Eligibility to work as a Paraprofessional in the state of Illinois with a Paraprofessional Certificate/License and High school diploma.
Role OverviewAs a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work alongside certified Special Education Teachers to assist in supporting students with diverse learning needs by implementing inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details- Dates:
Immediate need through May 29, 2026 - Hours:
8-3:30pm M-F with a 30-minute duty-free lunch - Caseload:
Social Support for 1st and 2nd graders - In-person only
- Assisting with classroom instruction and offering one-on-one or small group support to students with disabilities.
- Helping to adapt educational materials and activities to meet the unique learning needs of students.
- Observing and managing student behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Keeping records of student progress and behavior, as well as assisting with classroom management.
- Working with students who have various disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, and emotional disturbances.
