DescriptionBensenville School District 2 is seeking a caring, dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at Tioga Elementary School (Grades K–5). In this important role, you will partner with teachers to provide individualized and small‑group support to students with disabilities, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll be part of a collaborative, inclusive school community where your patience, compassion, and commitment truly make a difference.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and adoption of instructional materials.
- Assist with the supervision, escorting, and instruction of students as directed.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate records on student progress.
- Assist the teacher with all aspects of the daily instructional program.
- Participate in staff development activities as directed by contract.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by administration.
- Bilingual preferred.
35 hours a week, 7 hours a day – Elementary Schools
8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with a 30‑minute duty‑free lunch
- $17.10 per hour plus Paraprofessional Pay Differential

- Paraprofessional License – visit to learn how to apply for a license.
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the district.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, visual, and verbal form.
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
