Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Position Summary:

Capable of troubleshooting basic electrical or mechanical problems, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining existing printing machines with minimal to no assistance. Installs both new and existing printing equipment with minimal assistance. Conduct scheduled, preventative maintenance.

Essential Functions:

  • Observe and listen to operating printing equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs
  • Dismantle, rebuild, and reassemble printers using hand and power tools
  • Set up and troubleshoot printers
  • Perform preventative maintenance on printers
  • Keep an accurate inventory of printer parts needed for repairs
  • Schedule service calls

Knowledge:

  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of the manufacturing processes
  • Knows how to safely operate all the basic power tools
  • Knowledge of applicable safety, health, and environmental requirements for performing the job
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
  • Efficient time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail with consistent accuracy

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • One year of experience working as a Maintenance Technician or equivalent experience in a maintenance group
