We build learning environments that help students thrive—and we need a specialist who can keep our tooling sharp, accurate, and production-ready.

What challenges will you take on?
  • Construct and restore progressive and single-hit dies that hold tolerance on the press.
  • Create and refine jigs and fixtures that accelerate furniture manufacturing without sacrificing quality.
  • Generate tooling layouts, detailed drawings, and clear assembly documentation.
  • Sharpen, dress, and maintain dies to deliver consistent results shift after shift.
  • Lead targeted improvements across tooling, products, and processes to resolve root causes and raise efficiency.
Do you check these boxes?
  • High School Diploma or equivalent blend of education/certifications.
  • 3+ years in a Tool & Die/Machinist capacity (or similar).
  • Hands-on Tool and Die experience required.
Physical and practical realities
  • Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs on occasion.
  • Comfortable remaining stationary for longer periods while operating equipment or inspecting parts.
Your toolkit of skills
  • Root-cause troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics.
  • Progressive die metal stamping/forming know-how.
  • Manual machining (milling, turning, grinding).
  • Tool/die/mold repair and setup expertise.
  • Confident blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
Machines you’ll command
  • Manual grinder and jig grinder.
  • CNC lathe (2–4 axis).
  • Manual vertical mill.
