We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Addison, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity for a 1st shift role, operating Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime opportunities available. Compensation for this position ranges from $45 to $55 per hour. Please note that as an ITAR facility, candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and will be subject to a background check, drug screening, and interview process.
RoleSummary
You will be tasked with generating and updating CNC programs, which includes defining setup, fixture, and tooling requirements while ensuring all work strictly adheres to our quality and workmanship standards.
Core Responsibilities- Foster a collaborative environment by maintaining positive relationships with your colleagues.
- Engage with tooling vendors to ensure our processes remain efficient and technologically advanced.
- Create and execute testing programs to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing workflows.
- Leverage necessary software tools to effectively manage machine programming and manufacturing documentation.
- Oversee the distribution of programs to the production floor in accordance with internal protocols.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to establish inspection points and documentation for initial production runs.
- Take on additional projects as they arise.
- Complete other relevant tasks as needed to support the team.
- Possession of a GED or high school diploma.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in CNC programming.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
- Strong proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven expertise working with Mastercam .
- Practical experience with Vericut and Solid Works, utilizing the latest versions.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints and G.D&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.
- Help ensure consistent product quality by meeting or exceeding all technical specifications.
- Advanced operational knowledge of Mazak, Haas, or Heidenhain machine controls.
- Demonstrate value by optimizing CNC programs and fixture designs to reduce overall machining time.
- Advanced skills in program editors, Vericut verification, and Mastercam software.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus, though extensive experience is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to team-based work.
- A manufacturing engineering background with the ability to manage multiple tasks and solve complex problems.
- A self-driven mindset capable of maintaining high productivity with minimal oversight.
- A cooperative attitude that facilitates smooth communication across all departments.
- Meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of the work.
- Exposure to high noise levels from active machinery.
- Potential physical hazards associated with moving equipment.
- Exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and mists.
- Potential for skin contact with cutting fluids and oils.
