Position: Quality Inspector (Bensenville)

Shift: 1st Shift Compensation: $25-$27/hr benefits:
Must have Skill Set:
Precision Measuring Equipment, Blueprint Reading, Close Tolerance Inspection, Shop Math.

Job Duties:

Comply with all quality system procedures and documentation requirements.

Inspect materials and products using fixed or variable measuring instruments to ensure conformance to standards.

Work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals, or prototypes to verify quality specifications.

Verify specified dimensions on products or materials using specialized inspection equipment.

Compare finished products with parts lists or sample models to ensure the completion of assembly.

Monitor production for irregularities and defects, inspecting parts to extremely close tolerances.

Devise and utilize non-standard inspection procedures for unusual or non-standard part shapes.

Perform tasks of substantial variety and complexity requiring thorough knowledge of tools, gauges, and materials.

Communicate effectively with Management, Technical, and Production personnel regarding quality findings.

Maintain safety standards, including the use of all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as an inspector in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment (electronic and mechanical).Ability to measure unusual or non-standard parts to extremely close tolerances.

Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to perform basic shop math.

Good visual acuity and organizational skills.

Physical ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, climb, and bend continuously.

Ability to lift or move materials ranging from light (1-5 lbs) to heavy (60+ lbs) as required.
