Join our dynamic Truckload Brokerage team as a Carrier Sales Representative, where you will play a critical role in building and managing a strong carrier network across North America. In this fast‑paced, high‑impact role, you will be responsible for sourcing capacity, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring the successful execution of freight movements.

How you create impact- Source and secure reliable carrier capacity for truckload (FTL) freight across North America
- Negotiate competitive rates and contract terms while meeting margin and service objectives
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with carrier partners to drive loyalty and repeat business
- Manage shipments from pickup through delivery, ensuring on‑time performance and service excellence
- Proactively identify and resolve service issues, delays, or capacity challenges
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Account Management) to align solutions with customer needs
- Analyze market trends and lane data to optimize pricing and carrier selection
- Ensure carrier compliance, including verification of insurance, safety ratings, and onboarding requirements
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Balance cost, service, and capacity to meet performance and profitability targets
- Support carrier network growth by identifying and onboarding new partners
- Expand carrier coverage in key lanes and geographic regions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of brokerage processes and carrier strategies
- 3+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics operations
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to think quickly and act decisively
- Proficiency with TMS platforms and strong Excel skills (filters, formulas, Pivot Tables preferred)

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles.
Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
