Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Commercial Painters in Bensenville, IL. This position is responsible for the professional application of paints and coatings to the exteriors of commercial buildings in Bensenville, IL. The ideal candidate has significant experience in commercial exterior projects, including extensive surface preparation and the use of various application tools to ensure a high-quality, durable finish.

Pay: $25 to $30 Per Hour BOE

• Prepare exterior surfaces by power washing, scraping, sanding, and removing old paint or debris to ensure proper adhesion.
• Apply primers and topcoats to commercial exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, or other fillers to provide a smooth and weather-resistant finish.
• Set up and maneuver ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts to access high or difficult-to-reach areas safely.
• Mix and thin paints to the correct consistency according to manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
• Protect surrounding areas, windows, and landscaping using drop cloths, plastic, and masking tape.
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment, including sprayers and brushes, to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all job site safety regulations, including OSHA standards for working at heights and handling chemical materials.
• Monitor weather conditions to ensure appropriate timing for paint application and proper curing.
• Perform final walkthroughs and touch-ups to meet the quality standards of the project.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a painter with a specific focus on commercial exterior projects.
• Proficiency in operating professional airless paint sprayers and industrial power washing equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of exterior substrates including masonry, metal, wood, and stucco.
• Ability to work comfortably at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or articulated boom lifts.
• Strong understanding of exterior paint types, primers, and weather-resistant coating requirements.
• Capability to perform thorough surface preparation and repairs independently.
• Reliable transportation to project sites in the Bensenville area.
• Ability to follow technical specifications and blueprints for specific coating requirements.

• Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for the duration of a full work shift.
• Comfortable working at significant heights on ladders or mechanical lifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including exposure to direct sunlight and wind.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise application and detail work.
• Full range of motion for reaching, stretching, and performing overhead painting tasks.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
