Würth Baer Supply is searching for a Warehouse Associate for our Distribution Center in Bensenville, IL

Compensation: $20.00/HR

Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time. Direct Hire to the Company. No Agencies. No contracts.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Role Responsibilities:
- The majority of this role consists of fulfilling/picking large orders of plywood with dimensions such as 4'x8' - 4'x10' - 5' x 10' - 5' x 12' - These materials are heavy and this is considered a rather physical role since the materials can weigh 90lbs or more. You must be able to pick up/drag these pieces of plywood without damaging them into stacks on pallets, then strap them down, and stage them for shipment or load them into a truck.
Your sit-down propane forklift experience is very important to us. Please do not apply if you are not already proficient operating this type of forklift. - Process orders, locating products, processing returns, on-foot and vehicular order picking
- Driving sit-down forklift up to large stacks of wood board products to transfer them to your pallet before staging or loading into truck - Must be comfortable with the physicality of this role - Some of these materials are rather heavy
- Processing outbound orders in LTL shipping area - Fast paced verification of quantities and item condition before loading onto carrier tractor trailers
- Processing inbound delivery receipts - Indicate products on receipt match products delivered, noting damages or quantity discrepancies as needed
- Working in a team environment on a variety of inbound and outbound warehouse duties
- Operating a sit-down forklift and learning to drive other material handling vehicles as needed
- Assist customers with loading their order onto their vehicles
- Assist with general warehouse responsibilities (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ year of warehouse experience (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, loading/unloading trucks)
- Basic computer knowledge
- Sit-down forklift experience (propane variety)
Role Characteristics
- Stands for 3 to 4 hours at a time
- Overtime is not mandatory, but it is offered to employees on a regular basis
