How you create impact
As a Road Logistics Operations Specialist, you will coordinate and manage customer shipments by securing capacity with qualified carriers and utilizing contracted rates. You will handle all transport‑related tasks from bookings and schedule monitoring to communication with shippers and carriers, ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations governing ground transportation.
- Communicate with shippers via phone and email to confirm shipment details.
- Dispatch pickups and ensure accurate scheduling for each shipment.
- Update and track shipment statuses, proactively resolving delays.
- Monitor shipments to ensure they move according to plan and meet timeline expectations.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with customers and carriers.
- Deliver high‑quality customer service to maintain strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate closely with various carriers (dry van, flatbed, temperature‑controlled).
- Serve as the liaison between shippers, carriers, and customers to provide practical, tactical solutions for daily operational challenges.
- Prepare required documentation and ensure all transportation activities comply with regulatory guidelines and internal standards.
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of key mode‑specific guidelines (dry van, reefer, flatbed, expedite, LTL) is a plus.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
