• Position Pay Range: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

The Dispatcher, Linehaul will be responsible for dispatching drivers to maintain service levels of on-time local and out state deliveries. Ensure drivers are adhering to Hours-of-Service regulations. Notify customers of arrival schedules. Prioritize under pressure in the best interest of the company, customers, and drivers.

• Conduct daily dispatching and weekly scheduling of local and linehaul drivers.
• Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers.
• Manage breakdown situations on the road & coordinate equipment repair with maintenance shop to reduce mechanical failures and delays.
• Complete necessary paperwork / data entry accurately and in a timely manner to ensure an efficient and steady flow of information.
• Coordinate third party carriers to move overflow loads in cost efficient way.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and drivers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
• Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
• Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
• Must have some basic knowledge of the DOT and HOS rules and Regulations.
• Must be able to use a computer with the thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, email and the Internet usage.
• Must be punctual to work and be able to handle stress and meet all deadlines in a timely manner with accuracy.
• Must be dependable and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, still with accuracy.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
