Shipping Office Clerk - Tues-Sat - 1st Shift

Description

The Shipping Office Clerk is responsible for coordinating all packing functions relating to parcel movement out of the warehouse, maintaining prescribed service levels and quality assurance while keeping costs at a minimum, to ensure meeting departmental, company, and customer objectives.

• Interacts with employees, other department leads, and all Supervisors to ensure utilization and performance levels are met
• Interact with customer service
• Tracking and billing of warehouse miscellaneous activities
• PO Entry
• Routing guide ownership
• Outbound order reconciliation
• Ensure sufficient amounts of inventory supplies are purchased and maintained
• Maintains and reports all OF cost per line metrics

• A comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary
• Must be PC literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward the business and its customers
• Must value diversity and exhibit a leadership style that empowers, coaches, mentors, and fosters a cohesive team environment

• High School Degree or GED a minimum
• Five years of similar experience
