Accounting Manager and Bookkeeper

Full-Service Bookkeeper and Accounting Manager

Pay: $30–$32/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, In Person, not remote

Location: Benton Harbor, MI

A well-established organization in the Benton Harbor area is seeking an experienced Full‑Service Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a comprehensive, hands‑on role responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience across multiple accounting disciplines and be comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Process and administer payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Generate financial reports and support month‑end/year‑end close
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Utilize Quick Books for daily accounting operations

• Significant, hands‑on experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
• Strong working knowledge of AR/AP, payroll, tax preparation, and general ledger
• Proficiency in Quick Books (required)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
