Job Summary:

Using technology-enhanced instruction, the adjunct faculty supports the college's mission by delivering agriculture-related courses and curricula.

Essential Functions:

* Teach assigned agriculture classes such as agribusiness, fruit and vegetable production, sustainability, viticulture, and soil science.

* Provide academic advising in collaboration with Student Services staff.

* Maintain academic excellence and grading standards.

* Prepare and distribute course syllabi/outlines.

* Monitor and support student progress.

* Maintain accurate academic records.

* Submit final grades online.

* Other duties as assigned.

Operating under the Department Chair's guidance, adjunct faculty must meet all educational, administrative, and fiscal expectations.

Job Specifications:

* Associate's degree in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.

Adjunct faculty are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College, with a few exceptions based on MSPERS retirement program. All others are employed through Edustaff, LLC.
