Job Summary: Provides current and engaging instruction and academic support services. This is an in person position.

Essential Functions
  • Designs and delivers effective instruction in traditional, online, and hybrid formats using course outlines approved by the College Curriculum Council.
  • Advises students and holds posted office hours.
  • Delivers supplemental instruction as assigned.
  • Collaborates with departmental colleagues to design/select and implement appropriate assessment of student learning at the course and program level.
  • Submits contract, grades, attendance reports, and other required paperwork within prescribed timelines.
  • Attends departmental, divisional, and college-wide meetings.
  • Collaborates with academic administration to conduct program reviews and other institutional activities to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning, including periodic curriculum reviews.
  • Effectively integrates instructional technology in instruction.
  • Remains current in the discipline taught and in current trends in teaching methodologies.
  • Participates in graduation exercises.
  • Contributes to decision‑making in a productive manner.
  • Maintains the highest ethical standards in relationships with constituencies, research activities, and business dealings on behalf of the College as per College policy.
  • Other duties as mutually agreed upon with the Instructional supervising Dean.
Job Specifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art or a related discipline. A Master of Fine Arts degree and college-level art teaching experience highly preferred.
  • Instructor must adhere to LMC curriculum and testing procedures for all appropriate courses.
  • 12‑month contract with minimum course load of 36 contact hours annually, to be spread between Fall, Spring, and Summer terms as assigned.
  • Teaching may occur at multiple campuses and in multiple course modalities (in-person, hybrid, online).
  • Regular and predictable on‑site attendance required.
Salary

Salary Range: $40,000 - $51,000

Benefits

Benefits start on first day of hire: paid time off, health insurance with no deductible, minimum 10% employer retirement contribution per payroll.
