Uses student‑centered instruction to sustain the specific courses and curricula mandated by the educational mission and goals of the College. The instructional role requires in‑person teaching at the Benton Harbor campus. Work hours are Monday through Thursday during the summer.
Essential Functions- Instruct students in assigned classes utilizing instructional technology.
- Provide academic guidance and counseling to students in cooperation with Student Services Personnel.
- Maintain academic standards.
- Prepare course syllabus and outline.
- Monitor student progress.
- Keep adequate and accurate records.
- Enter final course grades online.
Other duties as assigned.
AccountabilitiesUnder the direct supervision of the Department Chair, each Adjunct faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and fiscal requirements inherent in his/her position.
Job SpecificationsMaster’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline or a Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in a relevant discipline.
Hiring Range$61 per contact hour.
Requirements and Qualifications- Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related discipline.
