Adjunct faculty are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College, except in a few cases under the MSPERS retirement program. All others are employed through Edustaff, LLC. Selected candidates must complete Edustaff’s employment application and onboarding processes.

Job Summary: Responsible for student instruction and supervision in theater areas in the form of traditional classroom, online/remote modalities or applied theater practice. Faculty will work directly with lead faculty to meet course and program objectives. Responsible for upholding and supporting course and program policies.
Essential Functions:
- Instruct students in assigned classes.
- Provides academic guidance and counseling to students in cooperation with Student Services Personnel.
- Maintains academic standards.
- Prepares course syllabus and outline.
- Monitors student progress.
- Keeps adequate and accurate records.
- Enters final course grades online.
Other Duties: Other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities: Under the direct supervision of the Department Chair, each Adjunct faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and fiscal requirements inherent in their position.
Job Specifications:
- Master of Fine Arts or Arts Degree or higher is required in relevant discipline or subfield; performing, theater education, and/or design or technical theater experience is required.
- Bachelor of Fine Arts or BA with 18 or more additional graduate credit hours in their discipline will be considered.
Hiring Range: $61 per contact hour.
