Role Description This full-time, on-site Secondary Science Teacher role is located in Benton Harbor, MI. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess engaging science lessons for secondary-level students, aligning instruction with curriculum standards and school guidelines. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes in areas such as general science and biology, evaluating student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves managing classroom environments, communicating regularly with parents and guardians, collaborating with colleagues on instructional strategies, and participating in school meetings and events.

The teacher will also support students’ academic and personal growth through mentoring and guidance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Science Education and strong subject knowledge in Science and Physics.
• Status as a Qualified Teacher with appropriate teaching certification or licensure.
• Effective Communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and interacting with families.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science Education, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level, preferably in a similar school environment.
• Ability to design inclusive, differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student safety and well-being.
• Willingness to participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
