Chemistry – Adjunct Faculty – Continuous Applicant Pool
The Adjunct Instructor Pools are for applicants who are interested in teaching in the future as a (part‑time) adjunct instructor for one of our departments. The Instructor Pools are always open for applications but do not indicate an immediate opening. Department chairs use the pool to view applicant materials in advance of a need and determine whether the applicant will be approved to be added to the eligible pool.
Should a part‑time instructional need arise, the chair will first look at approved applicants to see if anyone matches the need, in which case they may contact the applicant for an interview.
Adjunct faculty are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College (except for a few MSPERS retirement program cases). All others are employed through Edustaff, LLC. If you are selected, you will be required to complete Edustaff’s employment application and onboarding processes. Official transcripts for all degrees will be required immediately upon hire. Monday‑through‑Thursday summer work hours apply to this position.
This course is held on site at the Benton Harbor, Michigan campus. In‑person instruction is required.
