Advanced Processing Engineer is to lead advanced machining, automation, and process development across our Performance Pneumatics platform. This is a hands‑on working manager role for a technical leader who can build capability, improve manufacturing performance, and turn innovative ideas into practical, measurable results. The role will support multiple sites and partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize high‑tolerance CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, and process capability to improve quality, cycle time, yield and cost.
- Lead automation and controls initiatives, including robotics, PLC/HMI, vision systems, motion control and Industry
4.0 solutions. - Identify and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies that improve flexibility, productivity, safety and competitiveness.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, root‑cause analysis, SPC and DOE methods to reduce waste and improve process performance.
- Establish standard processes, best practices and technical playbooks that can be leveraged across sites.
- Lead capital equipment and process upgrade projects from business case through installation, commissioning, training and validation.
- Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, routings, CNC programs, control plans and change controls.
- Provide shop‑floor technical support, troubleshoot process and equipment issues and lead trials to improve OEE, scrap and rework.
- Lead cross‑functional project teams and mentor engineers, technicians and site‑level manufacturing resources.
- Ensure new processes and equipment meet safety, ergonomic, regulatory and quality system requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 8+years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, operations or a related technical discipline.
- Hands‑on experience with CNC machining, programming, tooling, fixturing and process improvement.
- Experience with industrial automation and controls, including PLC/HMI, robotics, vision or motion systems.
- Demonstrated success leading Lean, continuous improvement or productivity initiatives with measurable results.
- Strong project leadership skills, including experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning and validation.
- Proficiency with data analysis and statistical methods such as SPC, DOE or similar tools.
