Overview
TEKsystems is helping our client find a Sr Network Architect to lead their network group. The role is on‑site, five days a week, with in‑person collaboration and innovation. As Sr. Manager, Network Architecture, you will directly oversee, mentor, and inspire a broad team of over 20 network experts, reporting straight to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations and positioned as a successor for this Director‑level position.
You will champion the vitality and evolution of the multi‑service data network, drive global technology decisions that accelerate business innovation and cloud‑native automation, and optimize workflows while delegating critical support processes to our strategic support suppliers (NOC).
- Lead & Inspire:
Directly oversee, mentor, and empower a team of 20+ network experts, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous growth. - Architect Global Connectivity:
Plan and implement enterprise‑scale LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Center deployments; integrate core network services such as L2/L3 switching, BGP, EIGRP routing, SD‑WAN, and security functions. - Innovate in the Cloud:
Design, deploy, and maintain multi‑region, multi‑cloud (AWS/GCP) network environments, supporting IaaS VPCs and accelerating cloud‑native PaaS capabilities. - Fortify Network Security:
Lead security initiatives, including manufacturing segmentation deployments to secure the global footprint. - Operational Excellence:
Serve as the ultimate escalation point for core network issues, provide after‑hours support, identify essential maintenance tasks, and evolve monitoring and diagnostic tools for proactive NOC support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Network / Cloud / Infrastructure Architect.
- Deep expertise with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, spanning tree).
- Experience with LAN, WAN, Wireless, DC, firewalls, IPSec VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Cloud networking knowledge (AWS + GCP) and support for multi‑region, multi‑cloud architectures.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management in a technical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; experience managing third‑party vendors.
- AWS Certified (Solutions Architect or Advanced Networking).
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer Certification.
- Cisco CCNP (or CCNA).
- ITIL v3 Foundation Certification.
- Knowledge of SD‑WAN technologies and manufacturing segmentation architectures.
- Experience with Solar Winds or similar monitoring tools.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to engage multiple process partners.
- Experience in a global and international work environment; vendor relationship management for life‑cycle programs.
