As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing a team of maintenance technicians, implementing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining a safe working environment. Attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
- Work with Maintenance Administrator to assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on priorities and skillsets.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Perform preventive care maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with production and quality control teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after hours and weekend coverage.
- Assist team on the floor as needed.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions.
- Diagnose technical problems and implement effective solutions to minimize production interruptions.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff and external vendors to resolve complex issues as needed.
- Utilize CMMS System (Asset Essentials) to record maintenance activities by employee and equipment for Preventative, Scheduled and Repair maintenance activities.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs for management review.
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among maintenance team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions in maintenance operations.
