Benton Harbor - St. Joseph Joint Wastewater Treatment Plant Process Operator
Overview:
The Benton Harbor – St. Joseph Wastewater Treatment Plant is seeking a 12 p.m. – 8 a.m. Process Operator to perform all required operating duties during their shift. Math & science skills necessary. HS diploma required. Must possess or have the ability to obtain EGLE Class D Wastewater Operator License.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all required operator duties on the shift (12 p.m. – 8 a.m.).
- Monitor plant processes, perform routine inspections, and respond to process upsets.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Safely operate and maintain equipment; adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; valid EGLE Class D Wastewater Operator License or ability to obtain.
- Strong math and science skills.
- Ability to work assigned shifts, weekends, and respond to call-ins; reliable transportation; telephone available.
- Physical ability to walk, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
Compensation and benefits:
Pay Range $26.42-$28.25/hr competitive benefits including medical, dental, life/DI, deferred comp, pension, paid vacations, and holidays.
