Paint Technician

As a Paint Technician
, you will perform a variety of duties related to the painting of our custom doors and entryways.

Duties include:

• Inspecting doors, frames, and accessory components for cosmetic defects
• Sanding or performing cosmetic repairs as needed
• Hanging doors, frames, and accessory components in preparation for priming and painting
• Mixing and spraying primer and paint according to shop sheet specifications on prepared doors, frames and accessory components
• Examining finished product to verify conformance to specification
• Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment and work area

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry-out instructions in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
• Lift 70lbs with assistance.
• Complete all work within our safety guidelines.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
• Intermediate mechanical comprehension and abilities
• Skills to measure and perform mathematical computations, including fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to read a tape measure down to a 1/32".
• Work and train in other departments as needed.
• Ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Previous experience with spraying wet paint
• Previous experience with Bondo and Sanding
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or construction experience.
• Blueprint or template reading a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus

• Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to talk and hear.
• Required to stand and walk.
• Required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 70-pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Safety glasses are always required on the production floor.
• Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
