Production Associate - Shipping

We’re looking for a Shipping Associate to join our Benton Harbor team. In this role you’ll perform a variety of duties related to our daily shipping operations while supporting a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.

• Inspect the labeling and quality of the product prior to being packaged.
• Ensure labeling on product boxes is correct.
• Prepare custom packaging for material and products.
• Package products according to company standards to ensure products arrive to our customers without defect or damage.
• Reference the shipping schedule to ensure products are organized by job number per customer specifications.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
• Intermediate mechanical comprehension and abilities.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
• Skills to measure and perform mathematical computations, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Lift 70lbs with assistance.
• Complete all work within our safety guidelines.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to read a tape measure down to a 1/32".
• Work and train in other departments as needed.

• Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

• Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to talk and hear.
• Required to stand and walk.
• Required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Safety glasses are always required on the production floor.
• Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
