Job Description
Seasonal Associate at Family Farm and Home must provide outstanding customer service and accurate information to customers regarding merchandise offered. Responsibilities include assisting with product merchandising, register assistance, and supporting store management. The seasonal associate position is temporary from February 1 to July 31 with an opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and availability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Contribute to the daily maintenance of the store.
- Participate in the recovery, execution, and proper labeling of products.
- Complete register training, understand all forms of payment operations, and assist with the register as needed.
- Follow all Family Farm and Home and OSHA guidelines for a safe work environment.
- Aware of shoplifting activity.
- Aid customers in locating merchandise in store and on the Family Farm and Home website, as well as loading merchandise into vehicles.
- Support Family Farm and Home selling initiatives, i.e. loyalty program, private label credit card, item of the month and protection plans.
- Assist in fulfillment and loadout of BOPIS (Buy Online Pick Up In Store) orders.
- Assist in completion of store closing duties.
- Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
- All other duties as assigned by store management or company official.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Basic product knowledge and willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
- Strong team player with ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of basic computer systems.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
