Job Description
  • Exhibit accurate knowledge of content and pedagogy.
  • Exhibit knowledge of students’ individual development and special needs.

  • Select and use appropriate resources.
  • Adhere to each student Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan.
  • Build and design coherent lessons, activities, and assessments of rigor that match standards of learning.
  • Create an environment of respect and rapport.
  • Establish a positive culture for learning.
  • Exhibit effective classroom procedures with little loss of instruction.
  • Effectively supervise students and manage student behavior.
  • Effectively communicate with students.
  • Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioral and academic problems.
  • Exhibit high expectations and effective delivery of lessons.
  • Demonstrate effective questioning and discussion techniques.
  • Provide timely, consistent, and high-quality feedback to students.

  • Assist in the supervision of students such as in school libraries, hall and cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and unloading.
  • Sponsor extracurricular activities such as clubs, student organizations and academic contests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or other administrators.
