Special Education Teacher Opportunity
Full-Time/M-F
Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas is looking for a Teacher for our acute child/adolescent patients. Under the general supervision of the Manager of Education, this position provides direct instruction and other educational services to hospitalized children and adolescents to help them maintain or improve their academic performance and make a smooth post-discharge transition back to their home school setting.
Skills and Abilities:
NOTE: ALL CLASSROOM LESSON PLANS AND GRADING WILL BE CONDUCTED WITHIN WORKING HOURS TO MAINTAIN PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY.
Qualifications- Special Education certification and teacher's license, required.
- Current CPR or BLS certification (offered at facility).
- Current Handle with Care training (offered at facility).
- Preferred: one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65+.
- Classroom experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
